The Point System
So, what exactly is the Point System?
The Point System is a system in which characters gain progression points for every place they move up on the Tier List, as well as for every ability they get to Proficient or higher.
The system means that characters can naturally grow stronger in particular departments as they gain more strength and skills, in a way that rewards player effort and allows for player progression.
After all, Speed is a high limiting factor for some characters; and prior to this, while possible, it was quite hard to increase one's speed in a way that also felt rewarding. This allows players to break through their ceiling within RP, while also doing so in response to the amount of effort they put in.
What kind of things would be available to claim with Points?
The primary thing to acquire is obviously a speed buff for your character, naturally. But you can also claim high-risk high-reward roulette spins, giving you an increase in any ability (potentially multiple times), with the downside of a potential loss as well.
Depending on how the system goes, other things such as strength and durability increases, unique abilities such as Combat Assimilation and more, will be available.
How will I keep track of all my points?
Not to worry, there will be a spreadsheet of every character at the bottom of this page, publicly available. Your Group Dungeon Master, and mostly myself, will keep an eye on things and track your points for you.
This means you will always know how many points you have available to expend, as well not having to worry of keeping track of them yourself.
