Name: Mereel Skirata
Rank: ARC Lieutenant
Tier: Low 1
Background: Mereel Skirata, also known as Null-07, was a Lieutenant and one of six Null-class Advanced Recon Commandos created for use in the Grand Army of the Republic. He was named after Jaster Mereel, who was Jango Fett's previous mentor and father figure. At the chronological age of two, he and his fellow Nulls were deemed to be defective, and were brought before Jango Fett and training sergeant Kal Skirata for review. When the Kaminoans stated their plans to terminate the Nulls, Mereel snatched Skirata's holdout blaster and tossed it to his brother Ordo, who leveled it at Orun Wa. Skirata managed to get the weapon back and received command of the Nulls as he was the only one who could control them. After that incident, Kal Skirata took the Nulls in and raised them as his sons.
After 10 years of training on Kamino, the Nulls were first deployed at the Battle of Geonosis, the first battle of the Clone Wars. During the battle, it was made apparent that the Nulls weren't able to be commanded by anyone, and they were scheduled to be put into stasis after returning to Coruscant. Upon arrival, the Nulls barricaded themselves inside of Arca Barracks, and 6 Republic Commandos squads were dispatched to deal with the situation. The Nulls refused to leave the barracks, but Special Forces Director Iri Camas refused to destroy the entire barracks just to neutralize the six ARCs. He had Kal Skirata brought in by the CSF to get the Nulls to stand down. Skirata agreed on the conditions that he would be inducted into the Grand Army of the Republic with command over the Nulls, and that they would be subjected to no disciplinary action for the incident.
In 21 BBY, Mereel participated in a black op led by Skirata to dismantle the Separatist terrorist cells operating on Coruscant, along with his brother Ordo, Walon Vau, Delta Squad, Omega Squad, and two Jedi. On the Day of Chaos, the Nulls would suffer a crippling blow as their brothers in Omega Squad were presumed KIA on Coruscant, and their adopted father figure, Kal Skirata, went insane and detonated explosives in Sundari to end the revolution, killing thousands and causing him to be publicly executed. Later in the Clone Wars, the Nulls were sent to board Sev'rance Tann's Lucrehulk under the direction of Grand Admiral Thrawn. Mereel assisted in defending his brothers from the hordes of droids using his Z6 rotary cannon, and when they reached the bridge, he was key in forcing Tann on the backfoot and overwhelming her defense with stun bolts. During the 3rd Battle of Geonosis, he would work with his brother A'den to sneak behind enemy lines and wreak havoc on the droid forces.
A month or so later, the Nulls returned to Kyrimorut, a deserter haven on Mandalore that their father, Kal Skirata, had constructed shortly before his death. They met with Mij Gilamar, Rav Bralor. Spar, Sull, Tavo, and the former Republic Commandos of Yayax and Vevut Squads who had been working on maintaining the safe haven. Mereel had begun settling in and meeting new people when unbeknownst to him, the Mandalorian Head of State, Bly, acquired the location of Kyrimorut. He then had Clan Caesar mobilize a task force to capture the base, and unknown to both parties, ordered the launch of 6 Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles at Kyrimorut before they could arrive. The chiss energy shield that was installed at the base was overwhelmed, but still saved the lives of individuals who had been on base when the nukes hit. Unfortunately, however, both Yayax and Vevut Squads, alongside the former ARC Trooper Tavo, were utterly obliterated in the blast, as they were outside the shield's radius. Having been in orbit of the planet on the Chimaera, Hunter, Tech, Gonky, A'den, Mereel, Jaing, Prudii, and Mij went down and immediately began search and rescue. After managing to locate those who survived the blast, the team found themselves surrounded by a force of 200 Mandalorians and multiple Basilisk War Droids. Those surrounded attempted to fight back, but were ultimately overwhelmed by Clan Caesar's forces, and were captured.
After months of being held by Caesar, and a destructive fight with the force deity Abeloth, the Nulls would return to the Chimaera, assisting the Chiss with their various missions. This would not last long however, as during a clan leader gala held on the planet Krownest by Clan Wren, Barradur Vornskr assassinated Duchess Satine, the current leader of Mandalore, declaring his intentions to take over the planet. As a result of Civil War quickly brewing on their home planet, the Nulls returned in a hurry, where they joined up in an alliance with Clan Caesar in order to prevent clans Vornskr and Signis from taking over the planet.

Weaknesses: Like all the other Nulls, they are “the most insufferable clones in the Grand Army of the Republic”. Arrogant, elitist, and closed off; Mereel could barely maintain a professional relationship with those outside of his family. However, due to the most recent incident where Kal Skirata was revealed to be a mass murderer, Mereel and the rest of the Nulls have completely gone off balance. Even mentioning Kal Skirata will set Mereel off, and cause him to make costly and stupid mistakes. Nulls see themselves as one-man armies, and as such, this arrogance can be used to dispatch them when they make a costly mistake. Mereel especially, is emotionally closed off and has middle-child syndrome; and his need to one-up his brothers could be exploited. Finally, Mereel is by far a short-range fighter. This does not mean he is ineffective at long range, but if a combatant had to choose how to fight him, long range would be the best.
