Background: A Padawan, Padawan learner, Jedi Apprentice in Basic, or Jedi in Training, referred to a Force-sensitive adolescent who had begun one-on-one instruction with a Jedi Knight or Master outside the Jedi academy. Having passed the Initiate Trials and ascended in rank from an Initiate, Padawans were given more responsibilities within the Jedi Order but were subject to the demands of their masters.

Speed: High G

Abilities: Proficient in Mental Shielding, Temple Hand-to-Hand, Throwables, Survival Skills, Shii-Cho, and Niman. Skilled in Environmental Conditioning, Soresu, Form V, Makashi, and Ataru.

Notable Force Abilities: Proficient in Standard Padawan Abilities and Force Speed. Skilled in Force Push and Force Pull.

Equipment: Padawan Robes and Tunic; Lightsaber; Utility Belt with: Survival Rations in the form of capsules, a Hush-98 comlink, a Fibercord Grappling Hook and/or a Grappling Spike Launcher, a Holoprojector, a Holomap, an A99 Aquata Breather, a Jedi Beacon Transceiver, a Glowrod, and Lightsaber Repair Tools.

Weaknesses: The Padawan is usually not found without their Master, a much more capable Jedi, so separating these Jedi from their teachers is the best way of guaranteeing defeat. Once isolated, the best thing to do would be a simply overwhelming attack. The Padawan may last slightly long, and do some damage; but ultimately, will fall. Manipulating the Padawan into believing they have lost and are nothing without their Master will cause a boomerang effect or slight mental paralysis; either of which is beneficial.
