Background: Mace Windu was a male Korun Human Jedi Master of legendary status who was the Master of the Order in the days leading up to the Battle of Geonosis, after which he gave the title to Grand Master Yoda. He then reclaimed the title after the death of Iri Camas on Sullust. Hailing from the world of Haruun Kal, Mace Windu served as one of the last members of the Jedi High Council before the Great Jedi Purge. Serving on the Council, Windu was often regarded as second only to the Grand Master Yoda, though Windu was eight centuries Yoda's junior. Windu's wisdom and power were considered legendary by many, as were the weight of his words.

Trained as a Jedi Guardian, Windu was considered to be one of the best swordsmen in the history of the Jedi Order and had created the modern seventh form of lightsaber combat, Vaapad along with fellow Jedi Sora Bulq. He was the only practitioner of the form who did not fall to the dark side. Windu served the Jedi Order his entire life, training several Jedi, including Depa Billaba, Iri Camas and Ghos Gin.

It was Master Windu who led two hundred and twelve Jedi into combat at the Battle of Geonosis and slew the infamous bounty hunter Jango Fett. He continued to serve the Republic throughout the Clone Wars, often on the frontlines of fierce fighting, where he led Republic forces as a High Jedi General. He would distinguish himself across many battlefronts, most notably on Dantooine, though he would distinguish himself on Commenor, Sullust and Concordia amongst others.

Towards the end of 22 BBY, Master Windu would single-handedly map the Byss Run of the Deep Core while travelling with the 415th. He would fight on equal footing against Mandu on Keeara Major, and would defeat Darth Vader on Byss. After being physically and emotionally scarred by his battle with an alternate Sith-version of his padawan Iri Camas, Windu returned to Coruscant to recover as well as teach Vaapad to his padawan, Ghos Gin.

Windu would eventually travel to Tython to gather the forces necessary to fight the Eternal Empire on Dromund Kaas, bringing a massive fleet with him. After completing the Jedi's primary objective, Mace would learn of his Padawan being used as a sacrifice by the Dark Council to power the superweapon. With Xesh in tow, Mace would engage the Council; and after forming a Vaapad loop with the Void itself, completely decimated the Sith singlehandedly. Moments later, Mace's body would fall apart and he would use the last of his energy to save Arye Prays from the Void, before being consumed by the Howling himself.

Weaknesses: Vaapad is not as effective against those not immersed in the dark side, however, Sith cannot fight on par with Jedi unless they immerse themselves in their rage and inner darkness. More proficient in lightsaber combat than the Force.
